SundaraMurthy Nayanar was taken into Lord Shiva’s fold/umbrella after stopping Sundarar’s marriage and claiming that Sundarar is Lord Shiva’s servant (all of us are). Lord Shiva’s instructs him to guide more devotees with the following song:
